Policies and Terms of Service
By enrolling in services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Respect & Learning Environment
All sessions and communications must remain calm, focused, and professional.

Parents may observe sessions but should avoid interrupting instruction.

Students must attend sessions in a quiet, distraction-free environment.

Tutors may end a session early (charged in full) if disruptions prevent meaningful instruction.

Harassment, bullying, or academic dishonesty may result in termination of services.
2. Services Offered
We offer the following services:

30-minute tutoring sessions are only available as part of the Standard Asynchronous Homework Help Plan.
3. Scheduling & Cancellations (Live Sessions)
This section applies to:

Monthly membership sessions

Single live sessions

30-minute live check-ins included in the Standard Async Plan
Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled via email.
24+ Hours’ Notice
No charge.
Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice
The full session fee applies, as your tutor’s time is reserved exclusively for your student.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the release of a recurring time slot (for membership clients).
Exceptions for qualifying emergencies or technical disruptions are outlined in Section 14.
4. Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time.
Late arrivals do not extend the session.
Tutors will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. If the student has not joined and no parent communication is received within that window, the session will be considered a no-show and charged in full.
5. Refund Policy

If a tutor misses a scheduled live session without notice, the session will be rescheduled or refunded.

Completed live sessions are non-refundable.

Completed asynchronous services are non-refundable once feedback has been delivered.

Unused prepaid package sessions are refundable if services are discontinued.
6. Monthly Membership Plans (Live Tutoring)
Membership plans include:

A reserved recurring time slot

Scheduled live sessions
-
Progress updates (weekly or biweekly depending on plan)
Membership Credits
With at least 24 hours’ notice, members may request that a session be converted into a credit.
Credits:

Do not expire during the academic year
-
May be used by another child within the same household
-
Are subject to tutor availability
Repeated cancellations may result in loss of the recurring time slot.
7. Prepaid Session Packages

Sessions must be used within the timeframe stated at purchase.

One complimentary emergency reschedule is permitted per package (see Section 14).

Unused sessions are refundable if services are discontinued.
-
Standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies.
8. Single Sessions
Single sessions follow the same 24-hour cancellation policy.
One courtesy emergency reschedule is permitted per booking (see Section 14).
9. Asynchronous Homework Help
Asynchronous Homework Help provides structured written feedback and concept clarification. It is designed for efficient homework support — not full lesson replacement.
All submissions occur Monday–Friday.
Basic Plan — $39/month
Monday–Friday Q&A Support
Includes:

Responses within 12–24 hours

No live sessions included
Recommended Usage Guidelines:
To maintain quality and fairness:

Up to 10–15 questions per week (approximately 2–3 per school day)

Questions should be single problems, not full worksheets

Full reteaching of major units is not included

Large assignments or multi-page reviews may be declined or redirected to live tutoring
Excessive or bulk submissions may result in a recommendation to transition to live tutoring services.
Standard Plan — $120/month
Unlimited Q&A + Two 30-Minute Live Check-Ins
Includes:

Unlimited Monday–Friday Q&A submissions

Two 30-minute live tutoring sessions per month
-
Review of student errors and deeper concept explanations
This plan is ideal for students who benefit from accountability and structured concept reinforcement.
Live Check-In Guidelines:

Two 30-minute sessions per month

Must be scheduled in advance
-
Follow the standard 24-hour cancellation policy
-
Unused live sessions do not roll over unless otherwise agreed
Submission Guidelines:

Short questions: unlimited
-
Full assignments or multi-page tests: limited to two per week
If a student requires full reteaching or weekly structured lessons, a live tutoring membership may be recommended.
10. Academic Focus & Participation
Sessions are designed to build conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence.
Active participation is expected. Persistent disengagement or behavioral issues may result in paused or terminated services.
11. Progress Reports & Communication

Membership clients receive progress updates weekly or biweekly depending on plan.

Tutors respond to parent messages within 24 business hours.
12. Technology Requirements
Students must have:

Zoom (free version acceptable)
-
Stable internet connection
-
Working camera and microphone
Repeated technical difficulties on the student’s end may affect eligibility for additional courtesy reschedules.
13. Privacy & Confidentiality
Student information is confidential and shared only with parental consent or when legally required.
Sessions are not recorded.
Secure, encrypted platforms are used for communication.
14. Reschedules & Unexpected Situations
We understand that illness, family emergencies, and technical disruptions can occur.
Technical Issues
If the issue originates on our end (internet, platform failure, or power outage), the session will be rescheduled or credited at no charge.
If the issue originates on the student’s end:

Monthly Members: One complimentary reschedule per billing cycle

Package Clients: One complimentary reschedule per package
-
Single Session Clients: One courtesy reschedule per booking

Standard Async Live Check-In: One complimentary reschedule per billing cycle
Short disruptions (under 10–15 minutes) will be accommodated when possible.
Illness or Family Emergency
For genuine illness or family emergency:

Monthly Members: One complimentary reschedule per billing cycle

Package Clients: One complimentary reschedule per package
-
Single Session Clients: One courtesy reschedule per booking

Standard Async Live Check-In: One complimentary reschedule per billing cycle
Additional missed sessions may be forfeited.
If a tutor experiences illness or emergency, the session will be rescheduled at no cost and will not count toward client allowances.
15. Emergency Protocols
Tutors are trained to respond appropriately to:

Technical disruptions

Student distress or medical emergencies

Mandated reporting situations

Inappropriate conduct
-
Security concerns
Tutors are mandated reporters and comply with applicable laws regarding suspected abuse or neglect.
16. Accessibility & Inclusion
We are committed to inclusive instruction. Parents are encouraged to inform us of any learning differences or accommodations needed.
17. Termination of Services
Clients may discontinue services at any time.
We reserve the right to terminate services if policies are violated or sessions become unproductive.
